Electrical Hardware Design Engineer
Geologics Corporation is seeking an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to join their cross-disciplinary team responsible for developing weapons and navigation system hardware. The role involves schematic design and layout of hardware with FPGAs and digital interfaces, requiring a strong background in hardware development.

Responsibilities
Developing weapons and navigation system hardware
Schematic design and layout of hardware with FPGAs, DDR RAM memory interfaces, and digital interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, SDIO)
Design for manufacturing and design for test
Using Siemens Xpedition or similar tools for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis
Designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, breaking down complex technical problems logically and finding efficient solutions
Cross-disciplinary communication skills, working effectively with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
Team collaboration, offering and receiving feedback constructively, and mentoring junior engineers when needed
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
An understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design for manufacturing and design for test
Knowledge of Siemens Xpedition or similar tools for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis
Experience designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, breaking down complex technical problems logically and finding efficient solutions
Cross-disciplinary communication skills, working effectively with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
Team collaboration, offering and receiving feedback constructively, and mentoring junior engineers when needed
Preferred
Schematic capture and layout design of digital subsystems and components
Use of lab test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment
Experience designing PCBs/PWBs using Siemens Xpedition or similar tools
