PT IT Support Analyst (New Haven)
CTTRANSIT is seeking a PT IT Support Analyst to provide technical assistance to users of their computer systems. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting user connectivity, and maintaining an inventory of computer equipment.

Responsibilities
Analyze, diagnose, resolve or coordinate the resolution of problems related to personal computer hardware, operating system or application software while demonstrating good customer service skills
Install and support hardware peripherals, operating systems software and application software for user workstations. Install software updates and patches to ensure that the proper 'version level' is maintained
Support user connectivity to CTtransit WAN, setup and terminate user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory and company wide applications
Monitor network backup systems and maintain the system accuracy. Maintain an inventory of computer equipment
Assist in all areas of remote support; provide prompt and efficient technical support to remote workers via various channels such as phone, email, chat, and remote access tools
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and telecommunication issues and identify root causes
Guide end-users through step-by-step instructions to resolve technical problems and ensure smooth operations
Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues
Assist in telephony Administration support; Administer and maintain our Cloud telephony system, including user provisioning, configurations, and access controls
Monitor system performance, identify and address potential issues, and implement improvements to optimize functionality and user experience
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure system availability, reliability, and security
Conduct regular system audits and maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and changes
Keeps informed on new developments in the field of systems and computer hardware to assure that CTtransit will benefit from the advances in computer-related technology
Attends in-service training, seminars or other opportunities for professional development as made available by the Agency. Provides training for Agency personnel as required. Actively participates in staff meetings, trainings, etc
Has thorough working knowledge of Agency policies and procedures
Work cooperatively with all levels of personnel
Fill in and assist other I.T. Departmental staff as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum possession of Associates Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Data Science or a closely related field and three (3) years of relevant work or technical school experience is required
An equivalent combination of education and/or additional work experience on a year-for-year basis can be substituted for the degree requirement
Ability to learn procedures that require a high degree of responsibility, accuracy, timeliness, and precision
Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, 8, 7, XP operating systems installation & repair
Experience with WAN Network configurations for servers and desktops
Experience with standard industry desktop, laptop hardware highly desirable
Proficient in software programs (Microsoft Office software products installation and configuration), Internet applications and utilization of all relevant office equipment
The ability to quickly learn internal software programs
Valid drivers' license and the ability to be insured by our insurance company throughout employment
This position requires the ability to make decisions requiring independent judgment including the setting of priorities for performing work
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential
Must be able to handle confidential information, manage multiple priorities and have excellent communication skills (especially verbal), interpersonal skills, professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy to work effectively with outside agencies, private vendors, and employees at all levels throughout CTtransit
Preferred
Experience with Visual Basic, VB.Net or similar development environments and MS SQL query language is a plus
