Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical systems including drive boards, PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, relays, sensors, and panel wiring
Work with motion and speed control systems, feedback loops, encoders, and safety interlocks
Read and interpret electrical schematics, prints, control diagrams, and documentation
Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC motors, variable speed drives, and servo systems that drive printing units, feeders, and collators
Calibrate and adjust speed/position control for web tensioning, streaming, pin cylinders, feeders, and collator modules
Maintain and repair Didde and Harris web offset presses and collators, including auxiliary systems (splicers, folders, web guide systems, delivery and tension systems)
Respond to emergency breakdowns and quickly identify root causes
Work with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical-electrical issues
Qualification
Required
5+ years in industrial electrical/controls maintenance — web offset presses, collators, bindery equipment, or related high-speed printing machinery preferred
Hands-on troubleshooting with motors, drives, speed/motion control, sensors, PLCs, and control boards
Strong mechanical aptitude for complex, high-speed machinery
Ability to read/interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, machine manuals, and electrical drawings
Mechanical and electrical diagnostics
Motion control and motor drive systems
PLC programming and ladder logic familiarity
Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) setup and tuning
Web guiding and tension control understanding
