Responsibilities

Serves as deputy to the Director of the Plans, Programs and Requirements Directorate at AETC
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Represents the Directorate of Plans, Programs and Requirements with a variety of command and functional area organizations
Provides senior management oversight for command and E&T Service Core Function level resource allocation, strategic planning, Total Force Integration (TFI), and unfunded requirements
Provides senior management oversight for requirements development and acquisition of all command training systems, mission information technology, and services

Work may occasionally require travel, sometimes on short notice, away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
A security clearance of Top Secret is required
Employee is required to submit an initial and annual OGE/SF-450 (Financial Disclosure) in accordance with the Joint Ethics Regulation
Demonstrated successful supervisory/managerial/command experience gained in organizations ranging in size from element to major command division
At least two years of successful work/program experience in Planning, Programming and Budgeting System (PPBS), i.e. developing a major command Program Objective Management (POM), cost accounting, and related areas; plans and programs
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-14, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of Air Force and major commands planning, programming, and requirements functions, operations, policies, procedures, and practices, as well as, the concepts, theories, and practices of the specialist work performed in the subordinate organizations
Knowledge of personnel management, EEO, and safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social)
