Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities
Mechanical design for unmanned aerial vehicles and systems
Take a new vehicle effort from the initial requirements stage, define an integrated design, analysis, manufacturing and test plan and execute that plan all the way to fielding
Collaborate with a fast-moving multi-disciplinary team, and communicate clearly with electrical, aerospace and materials engineers, as well as customers and vendors
Participate in both ground and flight testing
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, and serve as a trusted subject matter expert and resource for design teams across the company
Qualification
Required
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED, and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of experience
Experience with Solidworks or similar CAD software
Prior experience in a rapid design/prototyping environment
Proficient in structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA)
Experience in development and communication of system requirements, and technical leadership
Experience with both destructive and non-destructive structural test methods
Familiarity with manufacturing methods, material selection, and design for manufacturability
Desire to work as part of a small, fast-moving team with an emphasis on rapidly fielding solutions to the US warfighter
