Responsibilities
Coordinate daily and ongoing schedules for home health clinicians across disciplines
Provide formal supervision of scheduling staff, including hiring input, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and corrective action in collaboration with leadership and HR
Assign work, set priorities, and ensure coverage to meet patient care and operational needs
Serve as an escalation resource for complex scheduling, patient concerns, and clinician availability issues
Collaborate with billing and authorization teams to ensure visits align with payer authorization, visit frequency, and utilization requirements
Monitor missed visits, authorization compliance, and scheduling accuracy; implement process improvements
Partner with clinical leadership to prioritize visits based on patient acuity and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and scheduling systems
Support on-call, weekend, and holiday scheduling as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
Minimum of 1 year of healthcare or home health scheduling experience
Previous supervisory experience
Knowledge of home health regulations, visit types, and payer authorization process
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency with EMR and scheduling systems
Preferred
associate degree or healthcare-related education
