Responsibilities

Building cathodes, and cathodes sub-assemblies that power TWTs
Follow detailed process instructions using microscopes, resistance welders, a variety of hand tools and measuring devices as well as running sputtering equipment and furnaces
Ensure that quality, cost, and production goals are met

Required

Must be able to accurately read blueprints, assembly instructions, and other related documentation
Experience using basic hand tools
20/20 eyesight (corrected) and good hand-eye coordination are necessary, along with the ability to work with small parts and hand tools under a microscope for extended periods of time
Good math skills to carry out basic calculations and measurements are required
Computer data input skills are helpful
Knowledge of the use of torque tools, feeler gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators is a plus
Knowledge of foreign object debris (FOD) control and tool control processes is desirable
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required

Preferred

A high school diploma or equivalent is needed
1-3 years of operations or manufacturing-related work experience, general knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and procedures, with previous precision mechanical assembly experience preferred
Previous aerospace soldering experience and certification is a plus
Experience working in a clean room is helpful
