Responsibilities

Work with chemists to design new reagents and formulations for cancer tissue diagnostics

Synthesize, characterize and/or test novel reagents on automated tissue stainers

Troubleshoot reagent issues as part of a project team

Use analytical methods to validate quality and assess functionality

Qualification

Required

Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student)

Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)

Required majors: Chemistry or Biochemistry

Experience in a chemistry wet lab

Strong adherence to lab safety

Preferred

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with chemical and protein purification techniques

Knowledge and experience in instrumental analytics (e.g. UV-Vis, HPLC)
