Responsibilities
Execute EHS programs and technical projects to optimize business operations, leveraging and expanding subject matter expert (SME) knowledge to drive safety culture
Manage site-specific EHS compliance tasks and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements. Oversee permit maintenance and ensure all operational activities align with local, state, and federal regulations
Evaluate incident data and lead root-cause investigations. Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure timely closure and prevent recurrence
Identify and assess operational EHS risks through regular site audits. Organize and execute strategic meetings, comprehensive reports, and site-safety plans to mitigate potential hazards
Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), using data-driven insights to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
1 year of experience in EHS management, industrial safety, environmental compliance, or related programs
Experience working with AHJ (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Fire Marshal) and managing environmental permits
Experience managing Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes and using EHS management systems (EHSMS)
Preferred
Experience acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, EPA, state-level environmental departments)
Experience managing unannounced site inspections, responding to formal inquiries, and negotiating compliance timelines
Experience in air emission calculations, including the ability to track and report on VOCs, HAPs, and greenhouse gases (GHG) and familiarity with Title V permits or minor source emission limits
