Responsibilities
Design and lead enterprise AI architecture using Gemini, Vertex AI, and agent‑based systems; evaluate and integrate OpenAI/Anthropic/PaLM models as appropriate
Build scalable RAG (retrieval‑augmented generation) pipelines, multi‑agent workflows, grounding strategies, and connector ecosystems to sources such as BigQuery, Snowflake, S3, ServiceNow, and SAP
Design and operate vector search solutions (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS) and embedding pipelines (OpenAI, Vertex Embeddings, custom encoders)
Define and enforce AI governance, including model cards, provenance, explainability, logging, security (IAM, VPC, KMS), privacy (DLP, differential privacy), access control (RBAC/RLS/FLS), and compliance (HIPAA/SOC2 as applicable)
Establish standards for authentication, ingestion frameworks (Pub/Sub, Kafka, Dataflow), APIs, semantic search, and schema/versioning for artifacts and metadata
Optimize AI platform performance, reliability, and scalability for large enterprise use cases: capacity planning, autoscaling (GKE/EKS), cost optimization, and SLO/SLA definition
Partner with business, security, and engineering leaders to drive platform strategy, adoption, and measurable business outcomes
Implement observability and MLOps practices using Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Sentry/NewRelic, CI/CD (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Jenkins) and experiment pipelines (Airflow/Kubeflow/Argo Workflows)
Mentor and lead cross‑functional teams (typically 5–12 engineers, coordinating across 15–50 stakeholders) and provide hands‑on technical leadership through design reviews, runbooks, and incident response
Qualification
Required
12–15 years of experience in AI/ML and enterprise architecture with significant hands‑on delivery experience
Strong practical experience with LLMs and agentic AI frameworks (Gemini, PaLM, OpenAI, Anthropic) and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack
Proven experience designing RAG systems, embedding pipelines, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS) and semantic search solutions
Cloud‑native expertise with GCP preferred (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, GKE); experience across multi‑cloud (AWS/Azure) is a plus
Infrastructure and automation: Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, CI/CD, containerization, and GitOps practices
Observability and MLOps: Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Airflow/Kubeflow/Argo Workflows, monitoring of model drift and data pipelines
Security, privacy, and compliance experience (IAM, encryption, DLP, SOC2/HIPAA readiness) and defining governance processes for models and data
Programming and tooling: strong Python and SQL skills; familiarity with Java/Go is helpful. Experience with model evaluation (A/B testing, MRR, precision@k), prompt engineering, RLHF, and synthetic data strategies
Excellent stakeholder communication, cross‑functional leadership, and experience leading teams of 5–12 engineers while coordinating across broader organizations
Preferred
Experience integrating with enterprise systems (ERP/CRM) and data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)
Background in regulated industries (healthcare, finance) and experience operationalizing privacy‑preserving ML
