SoTalent is seeking a Trauma Registry Data Analyst to support a leading pediatric trauma service in delivering high-quality, data-driven healthcare. This part-time, remote role offers flexible hours and involves maintaining trauma data, reporting, and supporting performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Abstract and maintain accurate trauma data in the registry; coordinate reporting to the Florida Department of Health Trauma Registry in compliance with Florida Trauma Standards
Identify trauma patients using hospital data systems (e.g., Cerner) and support performance improvement by analyzing trends and outcomes
Prepare detailed reports for Trauma Committee meetings, M&M reviews, and trauma site visits
Ensure accurate, error-free quarterly reporting to state and national databases (NTDB)
Maintain and upgrade the trauma registry database as needed, following best practices and vendor recommendations
Protect patient confidentiality and ensure research data is secure and de-identified prior to release
Conduct special projects and contribute data for approved research initiatives under the guidance of the Trauma Director or PI Nurse
Apply statistical techniques to support data interpretation and quality improvement efforts

Required

CSTR (Certified Trauma Registry Specialist) within 1 year of hire
CAISS (Certified Abbreviated Injury Scaling Specialist) within 1 year of hire
Completion of American Trauma Society Trauma Registry course within 1 year
Trauma-specific ICD-10 course within 90 days of hire
AIS course through the Association for Advancement of Automotive Medicine
2–4 years of trauma registry or coding experience

Preferred

EMT, Paramedic, or vocational nursing training
Experience with Trauma One software
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD9-CM, and AIS/ISS scoring methods
