Package Engineer

Scalence L.L.C. is looking for a Package Engineer to manage the complete packaging development process. The role involves leading packaging material qualifications, troubleshooting packaging issues, and collaborating with various teams to optimize packaging designs and processes.

Responsibilities

Manage complete packaging development process, including the creation of packaging designs, prototype development, and performance testing
Lead and execute package material qualifications (at suppliers) and packing validations (at P&G plants)
Initiate, author, and gain alignment to technical documents (protocols, reports, tech assessments/justifications)
Manage packaging deliverables to meet the aligned timeline
Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions
Analyze drawings and specifications of package materials
Work closely with package material suppliers, engineering, operations, and sourcing
Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage
Work closely with Engineering to optimize packaging supply base for cost, lead time, quality, regionalization, standardization, supply assurance, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements
Specify and recommend efficiency tools and test methods to develop and validate packaging designs
Work with the manufacturing department to insure that the packaging designs are optimized for manufacturability
