HVAC Mechanical Piping & Plumbing Estimator

They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Piping & Plumbing Estimator to develop accurate estimates for mechanical construction projects, collaborating with various teams to ensure project alignment and success.

Responsibilities

Support development of initial budgets and estimates with or without engineering drawings or specifications
Develop project cost estimates based on schematic and/or detailed designs
Perform complete piping & plumbing takeoffs using Autobid Mechanical software
Quantity take-offs from SD through CD level design
Review subcontractor and vendor quotes and compile job-specific clarifications and exclusions
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and business development teams to influence design and identify project risks
Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier quotations or scheduling input as required for the assignments
Participate in discussions and meetings with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and internal stakeholders
Intermediate to advanced understanding of mechanical systems in order to recognize relative costs
Communicate project details clearly across teams and ensure alignment with project goals

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or equivalent work experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating
Proficiency in Autobid Sheet Metal estimating software and database management
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems & MCAA labor tables
Experience with design-build and design-assist projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook; Bluebeam experience preferred
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred

Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and Assemble is a plus
