Project Manager
Seven Seas Water Group is a portfolio company focused on delivering sustainable water solutions. The Project Manager will oversee project execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met while leading teams across various departments.
Responsibilities
The PM leads the team to bring the project to fruition. Essential for success is developing a viable Project Execution Plan and managing the Engineering and Procurement teams to monitor & control project: Scope, Schedule, Cost, Design, Procurement, Resources, Quality, and Risk
Create the project scope of work for all resources needed as well as working with sub-contract engineering firms and consultants to ensure project design and construction activities are thoroughly understood and completed per schedule
Continuously monitor and control all internal and external design activities to ensure all drawings and documents are initially issued per schedule and that all changes are managed across all aspects of project execution
Create & manage the procurement plan to ensure all materials needed are competitively bid, procured, engineered, fabricated and delivered per schedule and budget. Review quotes, contractual terms & conditions, and different make vs. buy strategies to ensure purchase orders are issued with clarity of scope and in the interest of preventing change orders and ensuring quality
Work with internal and external resources to create and manage required Inspection & Test Plans to ensure quality of delivered system components
Secure and manage resources as necessary to complete project tasks
Report to senior management project health and status on a monthly basis
Manage project risks on an ongoing basis and alert senior management of any realized risks or additional risks that present themselves during project execution
Assist business development with the project execution plans and schedules for new plants proposed by the company
Work in a team environment with Business Development, Finance, and Engineering to ensure all projects are successfully delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
Assist in the completion of operational procedures, EHS, and HAZOP reviews for new plants built by the company
Work with equipment suppliers to ensure proper component selection on company projects
Provide last quality review and final approval for all project deliverables
Review detailed Bills of Material (BOM) for company projects and ensure all components are purchased and contractors are aware of delivery schedules
Work within the ERP system to ensure projects are updated and perform queries as needed for project monitoring, controlling, & reporting
Work with operations staff on plant improvements and engineering change orders (ECO)
Perform visits to suppliers’ facilities when necessary to manage production and/or ensure quality
Perform visits to site frequently during construction activities to manage contractor and ensure project schedule is met
Direct the work of mechanical designers, project assistance and other project staff as required
Manage changes to the project, including project schedule and project costs, using appropriate verification techniques and change order management

Politically Savvy - Be able to work/collaborate/communicate effectively with upper management, other departments and other stakeholders
Communication and Strategy - The position requires excellent communication skills
Strong aptitude for planning, organizing, scheduling, assigning and evaluating the work of team members
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Projects, and Microsoft Teams
Expert in the reading the interpretation of mechanical drawings such as P&IDs, PFDs, and GA's
Must be able to direct design personnel
Experience handling budgets a minimum of $1-5 million
Excellent client-facing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, bi-lingual a plus
Solid organizational skills including a high attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Self-motivated team player who values timelines, cooperations, collaboration, and effectiveness
Behave ethically: understand ethical behavior and business practices to ensure behavior is consistent and aligned with values of the organization
Must live in the Tampa market and have ability to work hybrid schedule (2 days per week in the office required)
Ability to travel up to 15-20% as needed throughout U.S, Caribbean, etc
BS in Engineering required
2-5 years related experience in Project Engineering/Management required
5 years related experience in the water treatment industry is required
Preferred
Experience with sea water reverse osmosis (SWRO) is highly preferred
Project Manager is preferred to be located in the Tampa market or Houston, TX
PMP certification preferred
Preference in Chemical, Mechanical, or commensurate preferred
Experience in membrane-based water treatment highly preferred
