Learning Leader - Student Wellbeing (POL 2) (FTE 0.6 negotiable)
Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools is seeking an experienced and dedicated teacher and leader to join their community as the Learning Leader - Student Wellbeing. This role involves supporting the Principal in leading the planning, delivery, evaluation, and improvement of the wellbeing and education of all learners in the school community.
Education Management
Responsibilities
Support the Principal in leading the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the wellbeing and education of all learners in the school community
Work in classrooms
Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Catholic values and ethos
Expertise in contemporary wellbeing for learning approaches, practices and assessment
Possess an understanding of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), the Berry Street Education Model and Rights, Responsibilities and Respectful Relationships
Lead, collaborate and actively contribute to a team focused environment
Build the capacity of teachers' wellbeing knowledge and practice, through modelling, mentoring and being available to work within the learning spaces with educators and children
Interpret and analyse data (including SWIS) so as to lead strategically, plan effectively and respond to the needs of all learners
Display a willingness to be open and responsive to new learning
Have a passion for building strong partnerships between families and school
Qualification
Required
a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and to Catholic Education
recent success and experience in a leadership position
current VIT registration, inclusive of a Criminal Record check
a strong commitment to MACS Vision for Engagement, the Child Safe Standards, the wellbeing of students and a commitment to the emotional and educational wellbeing of students
a strong commitment to our Catholic values and ethos
