Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain core components of the SDX infrastructure and Office.js API surface
Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of the Office extensibility platform
Collaborate with partner teams across Office and Microsoft 365 to ensure consistent developer experience
Engage with the developer community to gather feedback and drive platform improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
2+ years experience coding skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience in web platform APIs
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
Experience with a C-family or similar programming language (C, C++, C#, Java, etc.)
Solid understanding of API design, SDK development, and developer tooling
Deep interest in AI, machine learning, or data science, or related technologies
Experience with Office.js, Visual Studio Code extensions, or similar extensibility platforms is a plus
Passion for building developer platforms and improving developer productivity
