The role involves creating a nurturing learning environment and supporting children during various activities throughout the day.
Primary and Secondary Education
Responsibilities
Classroom set up and clean up
Supporting the lead teacher with the children during outdoor and indoor play and activities
Assisting with lunch preparation and transitions
Guiding children into bathroom and rest time through songs, stories, and gentle care
Supporting children as they rise and clean up after rest time
Attending weekly Early Childhood mentor meetings and monthly department meetings
Qualification
Required
Prior teaching or childcare experience required
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively within a community environment
Effective classroom management skills
Enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and teamwork
Preferred
Waldorf training or certification strongly preferred
