Mechanical Assembly Tech 2

United Rotorcraft is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician 2 who is responsible for interpreting blueprint drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications for the fabrication or repair of complex structural production and aircraft products. The role involves assembling mechanical and sheet metal products, ensuring quality standards, performing testing, and coordinating with other departments for accuracy and inspection.

Responsibilities

Assembles Mechanical and Sheet Metal Products using engineering drawings and sketches for aircraft and ground vehicles
Review completed work and ensure that the final assemblies and details are protected from damage
Ensure that all assembly work meet quality standards
Perform testing and functional checks of assembled products
Review drawings, and parts lists for accuracy and coordinates with other departments to resolve issues
Coordinate with repair station inspectors for final inspection and sign-off of completed tasks
Tear-down, evaluate and repair of returned components
Resolve assembly and documentation problems, report problems to the appropriate lead or supervisor for assistance and follows up with all non-compliance issues
Assist in on the job training
Other Duties as assigned
Maintain clean and safe working environment
Regular scheduled attendance
Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling – up to 5%

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to ten years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience using precision measuring equipment
Experience in use of sheet metal related shop equipment
Ability to read and interpret blue print drawings
Ability to apply fundamental concepts and knowledge of assembly skills and their application
Dependable and self-motivated
Ability to manage several projects concurrently
Proficient computer skills and knowledge/experience

Preferred

One year certificate from college or technical school
FAA Airframe Mechanic Certificate
