Warehouse Manager-2nd Shift
Thomas Foods International, USA is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager to oversee the performance of warehouse operations. This role involves leading and supporting staff, ensuring safety and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in warehouse processes.
Responsibilities
Oversee all warehouse operations during assigned shifts, including shipping and receiving
Lead, supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff in a positive and professional manner
Plan staffing levels, assign daily tasks, and set performance goals for team members
Ensure accurate picking, packing, loading, and shipment verification processes
Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
Develop, monitor, and achieve operational KPIs
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a collaborative work environment
Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff, customers, and internal departments
Establish, maintain, and enforce warehouse operating procedures
Inspect warehouse equipment and facilities; initiate repair or replacement as needed
Coordinate warehouse activities with other departments to ensure product availability
Communicate with customers and Customer Service regarding order coordination
Review bills of lading and inbound/outbound documentation to plan work activities
Order warehouse supplies and approve warehouse-related invoices, including freight
Direct reclamation and proper handling of damaged merchandise
Maintain a hands-on presence to support operational needs
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
3–5 years of experience managing a food warehouse environment
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Current forklift certification
Ability to read, write, and understand English, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Flexible availability to work hours required to support warehouse operations
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug screenings
Knowledge of and adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures
