Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain SAP MES environments (SAP ME / SAP DMC) on-premise and cloud platforms
Manage SAP system landscapes including Development, QA, and Production environments
Perform system/client copies, transports, patches, and imports
Monitor and optimize system performance at application, database (HANA / Oracle), and OS levels
Administer SAP users, roles, and authorizations in compliance with security standards
Support integrations with SAP ERP (ECC / S/4HANA), SAP MII, SAP PI, PLCs, SCADA, and third-party systems
Manage system backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability procedures
Lead system upgrades, support packs, and patch implementations
Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with SAP Support (OSS, Solution Manager)
Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
Collaborate with functional teams, manufacturing stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and vendors
Qualification
Required
8+ years of SAP Basis Administration experience
Strong experience with SAP MES (SAP ME and/or SAP DMC)
Hands-on expertise with SAP NetWeaver and Java stack
Experience supporting manufacturing / shop-floor systems
Strong knowledge of SAP HANA and/or Oracle databases
Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Expertise in transport management, system copies, and landscape administration
Familiarity with SAP MII, PI, and integration frameworks
Experience with disaster recovery and backup strategies
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred
Experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments
Exposure to PLC, SCADA, and industrial automation systems
SAP certifications in Basis or related areas
Experience working in high-availability, 24/7 production environments
