Responsibilities
Implements, automates, and manages IaaS/PaaS services, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) within Azure environments to ensure scalable and secure, high-availability, and cost-effective deployments
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Designing and managing Azure resources using tools like Terraform or ARM templates
CI/CD Pipelines: Building and optimizing Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions for automated testing and deployment
Azure Services: Expert knowledge of Azure networking, virtual machines, App Services, and Kubernetes (AKS)
DevSecOps: Integrating security controls (SAST, vulnerability scanning) directly into pipelines
Monitoring & Optimization: Implementing logging and monitoring solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
Collaboration: Working with developers and security teams to improve, scale, and secure applications
End to End Release Engineering for Core Platform
Lead the build, deployment, and validation pipeline for all Workbench core platform releases, ensuring alignment with the Global Release Calendar and readiness criteria
Execute and maintain CI/CD workflows, ensuring reliable and repeatable deployments across all environments
Environment Management & Operational Stability
Own configuration, environment readiness, and technical dependencies needed for each release (e.g., GCP app registrations, Azure Foundry access, security groups)
Troubleshoot and resolve environment issues quickly—partnering with Cloud OPS, Nexus, and feature teams
Release Governance & Compliance
Provide DevOps input into Release Readiness Reviews, Go/No Go decisions, and ensure audit ready artefacts (deployment logs, rollback plans, change requests)
Work closely with Release Manager, Project Manager, and Global Security/Risk teams to ensure all deployments meet governance and compliance requirements
Incident Response & Hotfix Delivery
Lead technical analysis and rapid remediation for production issues affecting Workbench or connected applications (e.g., logging failures, service outages)
Build and deploy hotfixes outside normal release cadence while ensuring proper documentation and traceability
Automation & DevOps Enablement
Drive continuous improvement of DevOps tooling, automation, and observability—logs, alerts, build quality gates, and deployment safety
Support the consolidation and optimization of release processes (e.g., transitioning from 12 week to 8 week cycles, improving pain points in testing and approvals)
Cross Team Technical Collaboration
Collaborate with global teams (Nexus, GTK OPS, Security, regional deployment teams) to ensure alignment of release tooling, operational readiness, and technical standards
Provide DevOps technical guidance to feature teams across AU, PH, and FJ pods
