Responsibilities
Develop and maintain monthly, annual, and project life-cycle cost forecasts
Track, control, and report project costs in accordance with project controls standards
Manage and administer project change control activities, including cost impact assessments
Assemble and present project financial status reports for project teams and leadership
Oversee contractor project controls deliverables and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
Interpret engineering and construction contracts to ensure adherence to cost control requirements
Communicate project financial performance, trends, and risks to upper management
Support cost forecasting efforts by reviewing and interpreting project schedules
Contribute to effective project cost management across a large project or portfolio of projects
Qualification
Required
Higher education and/or 3+ years of experience implementing project controls methodologies
Demonstrated experience with cost management and control on large-scale construction projects or a large project portfolio
Verifiable work experience directly supporting project cost control activities
Proficiency with Excel and basic computing tools (required)
Ability to understand and interpret project schedules for cost forecasting purposes
Preferred
Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, or Finance
Experience serving as a primary cost controller on a large project or portfolio
Certifications from PMI or AACE
Experience using SAP for cost control or financial tracking
