Database Growth Operator (Payers + Providers)
Bright Spots Ventures is seeking a hands-on database growth operator to expand their audience of healthcare leaders while ensuring inbox deliverability. The role involves building and executing list growth plans, maintaining data standards, and collaborating with email deliverability resources.
Responsibilities
Build and execute monthly list growth plans with clear targets
Identify, source, and enrich payer and provider contacts (Apollo and related tools)
Expand lists by org type: Payer, Provider, Vendor (required) and as applicable: Pharma, Government, Employer, Broker, etc
Create repeatable workflows to categorize, tag, and segment new contacts
Maintain targeting standards for identifying names, titles, functions, and organizational filtering
Every record must meet standards, so the data is immediately usable by marketing and sales
Quality over volume: records must be validated (deliverable email) and accurately categorized (payer/provider/vendor)
Required fields include: Name, Title, Company, Email, Zip code (preferred), Type tag: payer, provider, vendor and select ancillary categories like Pharma, Government, Employer, Broker, etc. as needed
Maintain Zoho as the source of truth and reconcile data across tools
Create lightweight dashboards tracking list growth, net new validated contacts, and enrichment completeness
Document SOPs so this system scales beyond you
You will collaborate with our email deliverability support resources to protect list quality while scaling
Run weekly QA on duplicates, invalid emails, role-based addresses, and bad fields
Maintain suppression logic and engagement-based segmentation rules
Monitor bounce rates, list decay, and spam signals
Follow deliverability guardrails and quality gates established by our deliverability team
Net new validated payer + provider contacts added per month
% of contacts enriched with complete core fields (title, function, org type, email status)
Deliverability stability maintained while scaling (in partnership with deliverability support)
Segmentation accuracy and usable targeting lists delivered to marketing and sales
Qualification
Required
Healthcare industry knowledge is required
You must understand the difference between health insurers / payers, providers, and solution providers / vendors

You have driven B2B list growth using Apollo and web research (or similar tools), not just CRM cleanup
You are proficient in using Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
You understand the US healthcare market, and the payer and provider landscape and how to build accurate title-based segments
You are detail-obsessed and love systems, tagging, and structured data
You are comfortable moving fast and getting results without heavy direction
