Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing engineering team
Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering project execution from concept through delivery
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project success
Manage engineering resources, staffing plans, and department budgets
Develop and implement engineering best practices, processes, and standards
Partner cross‑functionally with manufacturing, operations, and executive leadership
Drive improvement initiatives across product design, system performance, and engineering workflows
Perform senior‑level mechanical design for vacuum and roll‑to‑roll processing equipment
Build complex 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings
Conduct FEA, tolerance stack‑ups, system modeling, and technical analysis
Troubleshoot mechanical and system‑level issues; provide hands‑on support in a highly technical environment
Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to integrate PLC‑based control systems (Allen‑Bradley / Siemens)
Work closely with internal manufacturing teams and external suppliers to support builds and commissioning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering (or related discipline) minimum
Demonstrate track record in effective engineering management, team leadership, and project delivery
Extensive hands-on mechanical design experience in advanced engineered systems
Strong communication, collaboration, and technical problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred
Hands-on implementation experience in engineered systems
Experience with vacuum systems, thin-film deposition, or roll-to-roll equipment
Experience in electrical/controls engineering, HMIs, and industrial automation (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Interest in physics, advanced materials, or precision engineering
