Healthcare Financial Intern - Manning - Analysts (Part-Time)
El Rio Community Health Center is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center seeking a Healthcare Financial Intern. The intern will be responsible for providing entry-level business analysis support to the Business Analytics Department, assisting with financial reporting, analysis, budget monitoring, and various assigned projects.

Responsibilities
Assist the Business Analytics team in entry-level preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial results for internal business partners. Facilitate corrections as necessary through collaboration with business partners and the accounting team
Assist in the entry-level analysis of revenue, spending, and data integrity to provide internal business partners with an understanding of their financial performance, productivity, spending patterns and cost drivers
Assist with monitoring actual revenue and expenses against budgeted amounts, identify, research, and explain discrepancies and variances
Assist the Business Analytics team with established department models to predict future financial performance based on historical data and assumptions
Assist with assigned projects; perform and/or complete entry-level analytical and financial tasks, and assignments supporting Business Analytics operations within established time frames; meeting established rates of performance for the quality and quantity of work for the position; demonstrating a level of quality, efficiency, and accuracy in the employee’s job performance that ensures the highest standards of excellence
Maintains at all times employee and/or patient confidentiality by controlling the environment and information being disclosed to authorized individuals ensuring compliance with all HIPAA and corporate compliance standards, as well as accepted human resources confidentiality standards
Understands and complies with all organizational Code of Conduct standards, Policies and Procedures, and Service Excellence (AIDET) requirements with all patients, visitors, employees, and internal/external clients or representatives
Demonstrates at all times a professional attitude and acceptable job performance for all duties, tasks, responsibilities, and assignments for this position at the assigned location and/or duty assignment that supports the operational needs of El Rio Community Health Center and as assigned by organizational leadership
Maintains a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with all Policies and Procedures including but not limited to work areas, workstations, examination rooms, hand washing, infection prevention and control etc. for this position
Demonstrates an understanding of and proficiency with the application of all compliance and reporting requirements respective to Joint Commission Certification (JCC) standards
Qualification
Required
Enrolled at an accredited college or university
Candidates must have an overall GPA of 3.00 or better
Must show initiative and creativity in solving unique challenges
Ability to work towards goals on an individual and team level
Ability to prioritize and multi-task competing responsibilities
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Proficient in Excel & PowerPoint
Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment
Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday
If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver's license and must comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements
Preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages
