Responsibilities
Perform software validation and testing, including:
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Manual testing
Integration testing
Regression testing
Interface and downstream function testing
Translate verbal and written business requirements and functional specifications into effective test cases and test scenarios
Design, prepare, and manage test data for complex testing scenarios
Execute test cases, document results, and track outcomes
Identify, document, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA, and collaborate with developers to drive resolution
Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test calendars, and execution reports
Perform API testing using tools such as ReadyAPI or similar
Conduct performance testing, including:
Performance modeling
Establishing baselines
Load and stress testing
System monitoring and profiling
Use performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, BlazeMeter, or equivalent
Conduct peer reviews of test plans, test cases, and execution results
Support and participate in UAT cycles with business and technical stakeholders
Collaborate across cross-functional teams to validate requirements and resolve issues
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years of experience performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for complex, public-facing systems
Minimum 2 years of experience testing web applications
Hands-on experience using defect tracking/management tools such as JIRA
Working knowledge of HTML
Working knowledge of CSS
Working knowledge of JavaScript
Strong analytical and testing skills with exceptional attention to detail
Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple functional teams
Flexibility to work on-site or off-site, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or off-hours as required by project needs
Preferred
4+ years of experience as a Java/Web Application Tester
4+ years testing multi-browser websites
4+ years testing web services
4+ years testing backend processing
4+ years testing data validation
Experience with mobile testing
Experience with system testing
Experience with data migration testing
Experience with data integrity and data transformation testing
Backend database testing experience with SQL
Backend database testing experience with PostgreSQL
Backend database testing experience with other enterprise databases
Ability to write complex SQL queries
Experience testing State-Based Health Insurance Marketplaces or large healthcare systems
Knowledge of QA best practices in Agile and Iterative SDLC environments
Experience with testing methodologies, version control systems, and deployment processes
