Mid LevelRexus Group is seeking an experienced Wireless Network Engineer to support the installation, configuration, and validation of a new wireless infrastructure at their customer facility. The role involves replacing legacy wireless equipment with new enterprise-grade wireless access points and ensuring optimal performance and coverage of the WLAN.

Responsibilities
Perform onsite installation of approximately 30 wireless access points
Safely remove and decommission existing/legacy wireless access points
Mount APs using appropriate brackets and mounting hardware (ceiling/wall)
Verify cabling, PoE availability, and switch connectivity
Configure access points according to provided network design and standards
Assist with WLAN configuration to ensure optimal RF coverage and performance
Validate proper SSID, VLAN, and security settings
Validate AP connectivity and functionality post-installation
Perform basic testing and verification of wireless coverage and performance
Provide basic deployment documentation (installed AP locations, configurations as applicable)
Conduct knowledge transfer session with the client’s IT staff
Explain installed AP models, layout, basic troubleshooting, and monitoring overview
Coordinate with onsite stakeholders and follow site access protocols
Adhere to safety, security, and change management requirements
Complete work within agreed project timelines
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in enterprise wireless network deployments
Hands-on experience installing and configuring wireless access points
Familiarity with Cisco Meraki and/or Extreme Networks wireless solutions
Understanding of WLAN standards (802.11), RF concepts, VLANs, PoE, and switching
Ability to work independently onsite with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills for client interaction and handover
Preferred
Experience with warehouse, manufacturing, or large facility WLAN deployments
Wireless certifications (Cisco, Extreme, CWNA/CWDP – preferred but not mandatory)
Experience performing AP replacements or technology refresh projects
