Responsibilities

Accomplishes a variety of assigned supervisory responsibilities as a first line supervisor
Conducts classroom, laboratory or field instruction
Evaluates student progress and performance
Counsels students to identify and help resolve problems
Accomplishes special projects/additional duties
Maintains, updates or develops training materials specific to assigned courses

Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period
Position requires travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY
This position has been identified as a CCAF Faculty position and, as such, it is very desirable that the incumbent of this position meet the educational requirements of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
All faculty members of the Community College of the Air Force must meet minimum educational requirements as prescribed by the accrediting body Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission of Colleges (SACS-COC)
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems
Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled
You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Ability to supervise and manage a subordinate workforce, Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of instruction, Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, Knowledge of training aids and devices used in training programs, Specialized knowledge of electronics principles, Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, Knowledge of instructional design and materials development for assigned courses, Knowledge of tests and measurement principles, techniques, and objectives, Skill in accomplishing special training studies and projects, Knowledge of security program responsibilities, Knowledge of training resources programs, principles, and policies
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
