Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities, building rapport with prospective customers, and collaborating with internal team members to support continued growth.

Responsibilities
Proactively generate new sales opportunities through inbound lead qualification, outbound prospecting, and targeted outreach
Build meaningful connections with prospects through structured cadences, social engagement, and personalized communication
Conduct research and discovery to understand customer needs, qualify opportunities, and advance leads through early sales stages
Schedule high-quality meetings for Account Executives and collaborate closely with them before and after meetings to ensure clear outcomes, next steps, and pipeline progression
Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute strategic territory plans that drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth
Build and refine a high-quality opportunity pipeline by researching target accounts, identifying key stakeholders, and leveraging technology and data tools to surface new prospects
Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date records of accounts, contacts, opportunities, and activities within Salesforce, CRM systems, and sales enablement platforms
Collaborate with Marketing to activate campaign initiatives and ensure GTM alignment with broader sales strategies
Meet or exceed activity, appointment, and new-business targets established by the VP of Marketing
Apply sound judgment and autonomy in developing and driving business development strategies
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Equivalent work experience will be considered
Demonstrated strong verbal and written interpersonal communication
Strong problem-solving skills
Cold calling
Ability to effectively manage time and multi-task
Excellent listening skills
Ability to take initiative
Strong researching skills, innate curiosity
Strong work ethic
Positive attitude
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Preferred
1-3 years of technology sales experience preferred
Experience in GovTech industry preferred
Experience with Salesforce CRM system preferred
Experience with Salesloft or other sales enablement tool is a plus
