Responsibilities

Develop and champion a comprehensive modernization vision
Build and maintain a multi-year transformation roadmap
Improve documentation and supportability (short-term)
Assess existing mainframe systems for modernization opportunities
Lead modernization initiatives (replatforming, refactoring, rewriting)
Guide COBOL/CICS conversion to modern languages
Leverage Generative AI based modernization tools
Enable the mainframe to be capable of modern tools for development
Define target-state data architecture including VSAM migration
Introduce modern engineering practices
Mentor teams and drive organizational enablement
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Required

4-year college degree required
10+ years mainframe experience required
Demonstrated success leading modernization initiatives required
Experience with modernization tooling and accelerators required
