Responsibilities
Prepare samples and conduct routine analytical testing using various laboratory instruments including pH meters, density meters, viscometers, and other specialized equipment
Operate and maintain laboratory information systems to accurately document test results and analytical data
Perform daily calibrations and routine maintenance on analytical instruments to ensure optimal performance
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all testing activities, results, and observations in compliance with established protocols
Follow and adhere to ISO standards and quality management system requirements throughout all laboratory operations
Implement and maintain proper safety practices and procedures in accordance with laboratory safety guidelines
Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with applicable waste regulations
Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and performance issues to minimize downtime and maintain testing schedules
Support process control and quality control initiatives by providing timely and accurate analytical data
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with other departments regarding test results and laboratory operations
Qualification
Required
3-4 years of hands-on experience performing chemical analyses in a laboratory setting
Previous experience working in a quality control or process control laboratory environment
Demonstrated experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory testing procedures
Background in chemistry, chemical technology, or related scientific field
Knowledge of ISO quality management standards and regulatory compliance requirements
Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory testing methodologies
Proficiency in operating analytical instrumentation including pH meters, density meters, and viscometers
Basic knowledge and operational understanding of HPLC and GC systems
Excellent attention to detail with ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective documentation and collaboration
Thorough understanding of hazardous waste regulations and proper handling procedures
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with laboratory instruments and equipment
Competency in using laboratory information management systems and computer applications
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
