Responsibilities

Provide 24x7 technical directions and support for Market Data and Trading Floor applications
Act as liaison among Market Data vendors, third-party trading application providers, internal users, infrastructure teams, and management
Work with various asset classes such as equities, options, futures, and other financial instruments to ensure timely and accurate data processing
Collaborate with product, trading, and risk teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs
Develop efficient mechanisms for integrating market data feeds from exchanges and other sources into systems
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, data discrepancies, and ensure data integrity across the pipeline
Continuously monitor the performance and health of data pipelines, identifying and mitigating potential issues before they impact system performance
Support APIs and services for real-time and batch data distribution
Optimize latency and throughput for streaming data pipelines
Implement monitoring for feed integrity and latency
Validate pricing and rates requirements before distribution
Work closely with trading desks, risk teams, and application developers to ensure data availability and accuracy
Perform help desk functions related to issue resolutions on behalf of trading floor end-users
Research new technologies for integration into technical infrastructure
Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory
Plan and implement major changes to trading floor applications and technologies; maintain and support local applications and data servers
Participate in BCP exercises and live events to ensure business continuity

Required

Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in Information Technology related to trading floor technologies and market data delivery
Strong programming in Python and SQL; familiarity with Go or Java is a plus
Hands-on technical knowledge of Reuters TREP, Bloomberg BPIPE, server and desktop technologies, network concepts, and security architecture
Understanding of financial instruments, market data feeds, and vendor platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet)
Exposure to low-latency systems and high-volume data environments
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to interface with business units and guide technology solutions
Skilled in creating technical documentation
Knowledge of Information Security policies and best practices
Scripting experience is a strong plus

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) are a plus
ITIL/COBIT certifications preferred
