Responsibilities

Perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) of software systems
Evaluate software compliance with airworthiness, safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements
Assess software integrity, robustness, reliability, and risk
Conduct software analysis of requirements, design, code, and test artifacts
Review software engineering artifacts for correctness, completeness, traceability, and consistency
Identify software anomalies, risks, and non-conformances, document findings and support resolution
Support system reviews, certification activities, audits, and program milestones
Utilize and/or develop software automation tools to support verification and analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
Assists with artifact reviews, test analysis, and documentation
Learns DoW processes, missile and radar system concepts, and applicable standards
Performs IV&V activities independently on complex systems
Interfaces directly with program stakeholders and customers
Drives continuous improvement and technical best practices

Required

US Citizenship
Master's degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience
8 or more years of applicable experience. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Progressively complex software design engineering experience. Experience or academic background in software engineering, software analysis, IV&V, or software assurance
Understanding of software development, lifecycles and verification methodologies
Ability to analyze complex technical information and clearly document results
Must have an active secret clearance

Preferred

Experience with DoW missile systems, radar systems, or other defense platforms
Familiarity with standards such as DO-178, MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-498, IEEE software standards, or equivalent
Experience with airworthiness or safety-critical software environments
Experience with software automation, scripting, or test frameworks
