Responsibilities
Manage project-level accounting, including job cost tracking, cost reporting, and budget monitoring
Review, process, and code vendor invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and expense reports to the appropriate projects and cost codes
Collaborate with project managers to review costs, forecasts, and budget variances
Maintain accurate project cost records and supporting documentation for audits and compliance
Monitor AP aging related to projects and ensure timely vendor and subcontractor payments
Assist with month-end close activities, including job cost reconciliations and accruals
Support project closeouts, retention tracking, and final billings
Assist with year-end audits and 1099 preparation
Qualification
Required
2+ years of accounting experience with mandatory construction industry experience
Strong understanding of job cost accounting and construction financial processes
Experience with construction accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Sage CRE 300, Procore, or similar)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliations
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
