Responsibilities
Design innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions (corrugate, molded fiber, recyclable plastics)
Build prototypes and perform testing (ISTA, ASTM, ISO) to validate packaging performance
Analyze failures and iterate designs to prevent damage during shipping and handling
Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and ensure consistent packaging quality
Drive sustainability initiatives and material optimization
Maintain detailed packaging specifications, CAD models, and documentation
Support cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
7+ years of experience in packaging engineering, preferably with fragile products
Proficiency in SolidWorks (primary) and AutoCAD (secondary)
Experience with packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and testing standards
Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
