Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship building
Own and manage the business development pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely progression of opportunities
Proactively research and benchmark industry best practices, regulatory developments, and innovations across dental/health insurance, finance, and related sectors to identify opportunities for improvement and drive external thought leadership
Maintain an outward-facing perspective, continuously seeking insights and solutions beyond internal resources and networks
Leverage external expertise and market intelligence to inform strategy, foster innovation, and ensure the organization remains at the forefront of industry trends
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to explore new business models, technologies, and customer experiences
Support strategic planning cycles, board presentations, and executive decision-making
Develop and closely manage strategic relationships with partners to maximize and leverage revenue opportunities
Work with staff throughout the organization to develop and implement diversified business strategies that support the long term growth targets
Screen potential partners and acquisition targets, support negotiations and contract development
Partner with Finance to assess the financials of potential business development activities, potential alliances, and investments and drive the development of business cases
Make presentations to the board of directors as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, or related field (MBA preferred)
8+ years of experience in strategic planning, innovation, or corporate development
Strong analytical, facilitation, and storytelling skills
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change
Preferred
Experience in healthcare, insurance, or technology sectors preferred
