Latitude Inc is seeking an experienced Web Developer to support a large-scale modernization initiative. The role involves transforming a legacy monolithic PHP application into a modern, microservice-oriented architecture while collaborating within a cross-functional Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in decoupling a legacy PHP monolith into domain-driven microservices and APIs
Design, develop, and maintain back-end services using Symfony or equivalent MVC frameworks and ORM tools
Architect and implement RESTful APIs with consistent standards for documentation, testing, and versioning
Build and integrate third-party APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to design and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS services
Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes or ECS
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient deployments
Use infrastructure-as-code tools to create reproducible and maintainable environments
Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and cross-team planning
Work within an Agile Scrum framework, contributing to sprint planning, grooming, demos, and retrospectives
Partner with Product, QA, and Analytics teams to ensure alignment, data integrity, and successful delivery

Required

3+ years of professional back-end development experience with PHP (Symfony preferred)
Strong understanding of microservice architecture and API-first design principles
Proven experience deploying and operating applications on AWS (e.g., ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, CloudWatch)
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized workloads
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline)
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Solid understanding of third-party API integration patterns, rate limiting, and error handling
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Strong grasp of software design patterns, Git-based version control, and code quality best practices
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
