Responsibilities
Support research and analysis efforts related to mobility, data analytics, and innovative transportation technologies
Contribute to the development, testing, and refinement of data-driven tools, platforms, and internal applications
Apply programming, data analytics, and technical skills to support analytical workflows, automation, and innovation-focused initiatives
Support data visualization and storytelling efforts to translate technical findings into clear, accessible insights for a range of audiences
Collaborate with project teams across transportation disciplines to support ongoing tasks, special analyses, and ad-hoc project needs
Document methods, findings, and lessons learned in a manner that balances technical rigor with clarity for non-technical stakeholders
Qualification
Required
At least 30 completed college-level credit hours (preferably in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Public Policy, Computer Science, or related fields)
Preferred
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and/or project management related tools
Experience programming languages, such as Python, PostgreSQL, Java, C, and C++
Experienced in working with various platforms, such as Linux, Windows, Android
Experience in developing and managing documentation and data analysis
Strong intellectual curiosity, ability to solve complex problems, and enthusiasm to learn beyond what is required for daily tasks; a willingness to dive into new topics
Capability to extract trends, extrapolate, and understand information from a set of data
Technical research skills and ability to work with and understand technical concepts, while also being able to communicate them to varied audiences
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment and a capability to prioritize tasks; strong time management, analytical, and inter-personal skills
