Responsibilities
Manage print projects from concept development through production, ensuring value, quality, and timely delivery
Coordinate external suppliers for printed materials, direct mail, promotional items, signage, packaging, and large format graphics
Estimate print projects, evaluate capabilities, and manage supplier relationships
Attend creative briefings, internal status meetings, and press checks as required
Manage and verify print specifications, proofs, file transfers, change orders, production schedules, and QC of delivered materials
Maintain and manage inventory of print-related stock items
Ensure all projects meet requirements for quality, cost, and schedule
Reconcile print job billing and process invoices
Apply knowledge of graphic arts, color reproduction, and printing processes (web, sheetfed, screen, digital)
Develop sourcing strategies and vendor solutions for print and additional categories
Negotiate contracts and service agreements
Partner with business units to understand initiatives and support procurement planning
Maintain supplier performance monitoring for quality, cost, and delivery
Work cross-functionally with AAA Clubs and National for combined sourcing opportunities
Follow and enforce Procurement Policies across business units
Provide operational support and assume leadership responsibilities as needed
Guide departments on procurement requirements and resolve purchase request conflicts
Decide when to accept or return discrepant shipments
Analyze spend, documentation, and supplier performance
Resolve invoice discrepancies and procurement escalations
Maintain vendor and item master data and ensure accuracy of requisitions and POs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
4–6 years procurement experience, preferably in print production buying
Familiarity with procurement laws and regulations
Proficiency with procurement systems and Microsoft Office
Strong supplier negotiation experience
Print industry knowledge and cost analysis capability
Contract administration strength
Strong problem-solving ability
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and familiarity with Oracle Fusion Procurement and Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory/Warehouse Management
Ability to tour supplier facilities and assess operations
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
