Responsibilities
Adhere to established project management governance, methodologies, templates, and reporting standards
Plan, manage, and track multiple IT projects with significant organizational impact
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource forecasts
Identify, secure, and manage internal and external project resources
Lead procurement activities, including vendor product selection and implementation services
Prepare and submit funding requests and ensure financial accountability
Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder communications
Track project progress, manage risks and issues, and escalate concerns to leadership as appropriate
Manage scope changes and control scope creep while focusing on delivery of a minimum viable product (MVP)
Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
Coordinate with multiple business units, platform teams, and executive-level committees across the State
Ensure adherence to quality standards and successful delivery of project deliverables
Provide insights and recommendations to improve portfolio, program, and project management processes
Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the PMO
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
8+ years of direct experience managing system integration projects
8+ years of experience managing stakeholder expectations and competing priorities
8+ years working within formal project governance structures, including standardized methodologies, templates, and reporting
8+ years planning, managing, and tracking multiple large-scale, high-impact IT projects
8+ years of strong process development, gap analysis, and documentation experience
8+ years of demonstrated ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a cross-functional environment
6+ years of experience gathering and documenting business requirements in collaboration with business users
6+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines
Excellent organizational, time management, and project planning skills
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Proven ability to motivate teams and deliver results in fast-paced environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex initiatives into actionable work items
Demonstrated experience implementing service improvement initiatives
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
