Special Projects Tooling Engineer

Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end new kit build projects using Siemens TCTP (Tool Control and Tracking Program) to support field operations
Request and manage capital funding for new projects, ensuring timely closure and accurate asset tagging
Collaborate closely with R&D to align designs and packaging with storage and shipping requirements
Prioritize new kit needs in coordination with fellow Tool Engineers and product lines
Apply strong knowledge of specialty tooling to optimize logistical packaging and storage
Support special projects related to training and product line initiatives
Escalate tool availability issues to Operations Management and Product Lines as needed
Maintain accurate administrative records in TCTP, including tool entries, catalog updates, pricing reviews, and inventory controls
Develop and maintain relationships with local fabrication and machine shops to meet production needs
Identify and onboard suppliers for specialty components required for new builds
Drive workflow and efficiency improvement projects across operations
Provide check-out procedures for new tooling and equipment and research replacements for obsolete tools
Offer scheduled weekday and weekend after-hours support on a rotational basis and during emergencies
Serve as a point of contact for TGSS product lines and contribute to PSC Tool Depot meetings
Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless processes
Qualification
Required
4-year degree in related discipline (project management, engineering) or equivalent work experience
Proven ability to multi-task and resolve conflicts effectively
Commercial acumen and experience managing customer networks
Intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy including but not limited to Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Language: Fluent and well-spoken with excellent technical writing skills
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
Preferred
Project Management Professional and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification
Knowledge of Turbine Generator Service Solutions multi-product line tooling
Field experience, with strong Generator Service knowledge
