Responsibilities
Develop, generate, and maintain EDI transaction files (including 837, 834, and others as needed)
Work directly with vendors and trading partners to gather requirements, coordinate onboarding, and troubleshoot integration issues
Create and maintain account structure documents, mapping documentation, and technical specifications
Analyze business and system requirements to design accurate and compliant EDI solutions
Configure and support SFTP file transfers, secure data exchanges, and folder workflows
Write, analyze, and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting
Assist with file automation, including scripts, workflow automation tools, or Boomi processes
Investigate, troubleshoot, and remediate EDI processing errors, including data mismatches, failed file transfers, mapping issues, and vendor-side discrepancies
Ensure EDI processes comply with applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA for healthcare transactions)
Qualification
Required
2–5+ years of experience in EDI development or similar technical integration roles
Strong knowledge of standard EDI formats such as 837, 834, and other common transaction sets
Experience working directly with vendors, trading partners, or external technical teams
Hands-on experience with SFTP, secure file transfers, and error resolution
Strong proficiency with SQL (queries, joins, stored procedures, data validation)
Solid understanding of data mapping, transformations, and structured file formats (XML, CSV, flat files, JSON)
Preferred
Experience with Boomi (integrations, mapping, connectors)
Experience using Power Automate or other automation tools
Familiarity with healthcare, insurance, or benefits-related EDI environments
Understanding of API integrations or modern integration patterns
