7+ years expEpitec is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to join their automotive client's team. In this role, the candidate will lead materials planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory control operations while ensuring efficiency and quality in materials management.

Responsibilities
Provide direction, training, and performance management to ensure strong departmental capability and growth
Coordinate with manufacturing and customers to ensure accurate production schedules, transportation logistics, and demand alignment
Ensure timely sourcing of components while maintaining accurate inventory levels, cycle counts, and material flow
Identify and execute initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance materials operations
Develop and refine materials procedures, reporting tools, and data accuracy for operational decision-making
Monitor supplier performance and support program management activities to ensure quality and reliability
Oversee packaging specifications, freight routing, and customer-compliance requirements (e.g., CLIPS)
Maintain appropriate Min/Max levels and ensure part data accuracy across all locations
Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and required documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
7+ years of progressive materials management experience including leadership in Owned Material Operations within an automotive manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience in Bailed Material Operation materials management with direct staff supervision in a fast-paced, automotive setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and materials management systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to interpret data, streamline processes, and lead cross-functional initiatives
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred
Experience with Trans4M strongly preferred
Professional certifications preferred: CPIM, CPM, or APP
