Responsibilities

Shape strategic decisions by translating complex data into powerful insights
Work cross-functionally with newsrooms, marketing, and audience teams to help the business understand how audience development drives outcomes for the business
Answer questions about audience engagement and its impact on business outcomes
Translate business questions into data problems that can be solved with data
Build ad-hoc reports and dashboards
Conduct exploratory analysis and model data to help solve business problems
Collaborate with other analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to understand how a business intelligence team functions in a media organization

Qualification

Data analysisPythonSQLBigQueryCommunication skills

Required

Pursuing a degree in math, engineering, statistics, econometrics, data science or related quantitative field at Stanford University
Prior experience or internship with data analysis (as an analyst, in analytics, business intelligence or similar)
Familiarity with SQL (BigQuery preferred)
Familiarity with Python for data analysis
Strong verbal and written communication, especially when presenting to non-technical stakeholders
