Telecommunications Central Office Lead Installer – Level IV

Responsibilities

Master installation skills per Telco Standard TP76300 and perform duties of Installer Level 4 with competence and accuracy as a Working Lead
Execute comprehensive equipment installation across a wide range of systems including AC/DC Power, fiber systems, and supervisory/alarm systems
Utilize knowledge of transport equipment from vendors like Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, and Juniper
Lead installation projects and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant
Read and adhere to Method of Procedures, order specifications, and relevant documentation
Supervise lower-level Installers/Technicians in installation and testing tasks
Maintain compliance with company/customer installation document system updates
Conduct quality audits to ensure adherence to industry and customer standards
Resolve project-related issues using defined processes and interface effectively with clients and colleagues
Perform advanced test, turn-up, and integration activities without supervision
Install and manage equipment, cable trays, data cabinets, and associated cabling
Conduct testing to document performance characteristics and resolve technical issues
Adapt duties based on evolving business and client needs

Required

Minimum 8+ years of installation experience or equivalent training and experience in the communications installation field
High school diploma and two years of technical education, or equivalent experience
Proficient in laptop computing and applications, with MS Office skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment background checks; valid passport is a plus
Comprehension of company/customer policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Travel flexibility within the US and internationally, with expenses covered by the employer
Physical ability to lift 50lbs and navigate various work environments, including standing, walking, climbing, and crawling
