Graduate Intern - Budget Analysis (Education)
The City of New York is committed to promoting the financial health and integrity of its government. The Budget Analysis (Education) intern will work on analyzing the budget related to the City's education system and contribute to various fiscal assessments.

Responsibilities
Work on budget analysis related to the City's education system including, but not limited to, the Department of Education (DOE), the City University of New York (CUNY), and the City's childcare and early education programs. Potential topics include the distribution of the City's childcare networks and providers, funding allocation levels for City-wide schools, capital initiatives related to education, and/or a comprehensive analysis of the City's funding for CUNY, including the state's expansion of programs for non-traditional students
Perform other duties and assignments as may be required
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Graduate degree program for the Fall 2026 semester
Matriculation at an accredited college
Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in college
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school
Preferred
Project development skills
Data analysis skills utilizing Excel or other data visualization software
Experience/interest in education budgeting for the City of New York
Writing and presentation skills for the development of intern's summer project
