Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), procedures, and documentation
Support receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance and quality standards
Lead APQP activities, FAIs (AS9102), and quality planning for new products and engineering changes
Investigate non-conformances and manage corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and root cause tools
Support MRB processes and disposition of non-conforming material
Prepare for and support customer, AS9100, and NADCAP audits, including follow-ups
Develop inspection plans, control plans, and process controls
Track and improve KPIs such as scrap, rework, PPM, and customer complaints
Implement and manage SPC programs to monitor process capability
Support cross-functional projects including FMEA, risk management, and process validation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality operations
Qualification
Required
3–7+ years of Quality Engineering or QA experience in precision manufacturing (CNC machining strongly preferred)
Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP environments
Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
Hands-on experience with inspection tools including CMM (Zeiss preferred), micrometers, calipers, and comparators
Strong knowledge of quality tools: APQP, SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma
Comfortable working cross-functionally in a high-mix, fast-paced shop environment
Strong data analysis and Excel skills (ERP/MRP such as Global Shop is a plus)
Self-driven with a focus on process improvement and quality excellence
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (Desired, no essential)
ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or AS9100 Lead Auditor certification (Desired, no essential)
