Responsibilities
Produce detailed CAD drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, millwork, and custom furnishings
Prepare full construction drawing sets and documentation packages
Update and revise drawings as design direction evolves
Ensure all drawing and rendering sets meet studio drafting standards and client expectations
Work directly with designers to interpret design intent into accurate technical drawings
Collaborate with fabricators, contractors, and vendors to ensure feasibility and precision
Participate in internal design reviews, offering technical solutions where needed
Maintain accuracy and consistency across all drawings and documents
Organize and manage drawing files using proper naming and workflow conventions
Ensure compliance with building codes, material requirements, and industry standards
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as a CAD Operator or Draftsperson in an interior design or architecture firm
Expert proficiency in AutoCAD; bonus for SketchUp, and Photoshop
Strong understanding of construction methods, millwork detailing, and residential design documentation
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and shop drawings
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills and ability to interpret design intent clearly
Preferred
Experience with millwork detailing + custom furniture drawings
Experience with Kitchen and Bath codes
Familiarity with FF&E specifications and materials
Knowledge of residential building codes and coordination requirements
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
