Graduate Intern - Budget Research
The City of New York is committed to promoting the financial health and integrity of its government. The Budget Research intern will work with the Budget Research Unit to consolidate and analyze data, review budgeted and actual spending, and present findings on key program and policy changes.

Highlighting key program and policy changes; and synthesizing and presenting findings
Performing other duties and assignments as may be required
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Graduate degree program for the Fall 2026 semester
Matriculation at an accredited college
Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in college
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school
Preferred
Experience with project scoping and strong writing and presentation skills preferred
Applicants should have solid data analysis skills, including experience with Excel, Power BI and/or other software tools
Familiarity with and interest in government budgeting and programs is a plus
