Responsibilities
Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times
Supervise maintenance operations, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, A/C units, emergency generators, lighting, and kitchen equipment
Monitor energy consumption (electric, gas, oil, water) and manage resources efficiently
Oversee inventory levels, place supply orders, and maintain accurate records of usage and purchases
Ensure that all contracted services (electrical, plumbing, cleaning) meet hotel standards and expectations
Assist with staff scheduling, training, and supervision of maintenance associates
Ensure timely and accurate completion of maintenance projects according to specifications
Work closely with Housekeeping and Security to coordinate activities and maintain key inventory
Maintain ongoing preventative maintenance programs for all hotel spaces and equipment
Cover departmental responsibilities in the absence of the Chief Engineer
Interact with city agencies to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and storage areas
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance operations
Strong knowledge of systems, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and energy controls
Experience supervising maintenance staff and coordinating projects
Ability to manage inventory, monitor energy consumption, and ensure compliance with maintenance standards
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Strong communication skills for working with staff, management, and external stakeholders
